Laura Rivera
HIS Trainee
Laura Rivera is a Hearing Instrument Specialist apprentice. Laura is originally from Fairport, NY and moved to Seabrook, TX in 2006. Laura attended the University of Houston and has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She started working at the Baytown clinic in 2024. She has worked in various clinics over the years including La Marque, Galveston, Webster, Pasadena and Kingwood. Laura began working in the hearing industry in 2021 as a newborn hearing screener and was drawn to the profession because she was fascinated by how we hear sound. What Laura loves most about saving hearing lives is the joy that it brings to people. Laura strives to educate people about hearing and to provide the care that she would want her family to receive in her everyday work with patients. Outside of saving hearing lives, Laura loves hobbies such as gardening, reading, and dancing. She has four daughters that she is extremely proud of and spends time outside of work with.
Janice Whitworth
Patient Services Coordinator
I have been in the hearing industry since 2009 and with NewSound since June 2011. I enjoy making people experience their family and friends again in the way of hearing. The smile they give to us when they hear the birds or their grandkids again — that is what makes me love my job. It is so much more than “just a job”, when you can make another person smile and be part of their world again by hearing.
